Argo advises Waterland-backed Argona on the acquisition of Deba

Argo advised Waterland-backed Argona on the acquisition of Deba, a Belgian specialist in medium and high-voltage installations, from family-owned industrial group Het Veer.

Based in Landegem, Deba provides medium- and high-voltage solutions to industrial and infrastructure clients, electrical contractors, public authorities and utility companies across Belgium. The company will continue operating under the Deba name from its existing location.

The acquisition complements Argona’s existing activities in solar energy, battery storage, charging infrastructure, electrical engineering and roofing, further strengthening its offering in energy, infrastructure and electrification.

Argo advised Waterland and Argona throughout the transaction, including on the legal due diligence, the drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents and Deba’s carve-out from Het Veer.
